The Fosbury Flop
For co-working space Fosbury & Sons I translated their name into an object.
They are named after Dick Fosbury, an American retired high jumper, who is considered one of the most influential athletes in the history of track and field.
Besides winning a gold medal at the 1968 Olympics, he revolutionized the high jump event with a "back-first" technique, now known as the Fosbury Flop.
My ode is made of the only chess piece that can jump, the knight, which is placed on flexible aluminum, and so rises far above its set target, by thinking strategically. A great intention for the new year.
It is the chess piece knight that rises far above its set target, by thinking strategically ahead. as a good intention for the new year.
